Telemedicine is a great option for caring for geriatric populations in Israel. Over the years, we’ve had many clients who care for their older, dependent parents. Take our clients, the A family. Mrs. A has been caring for her elderly, frail father for many years. With no other family in Israel, it is up to her to manage the medical appointments, the full-time aide, the basic care (food, hygiene), and any emergencies that arise. This responsibility is an honor for her to have, and she does it well… but it has prevented her from having family vacations with her own husband and children for years.
The “sandwich generation”, or the people who are still raising families and also care for aging parents, often feel torn by their dual responsibilities. In this case, Mrs. A contacted EMA Care and through our telemedicine/ ER coverage services, she was able to find the security she needs to be able to go on a well-deserved vacation a few times a year.
Besides people in the sandwich generation, there are tens of thousands of older, English-speaking adults in Israel who continue to have language barriers, difficulty managing their care, lack of support system in Israel, and lack of advocacy during a medical crisis. Many old adults do not have children in Israel, or their children do not have the time or capability to provide the level of care and support they need.
EMA Care’s telemedicine and ER support program takes care of these needs by being available 24/7 to assist anyone with urgent medical concerns. Our easy to use App, powered by our partner OneTapCare, helps English-speaking residents evaluate their health concerns and speak to a medical professional 24/7/365. If an emergency occurs, the app has a button for “Call an Ambulance” to make it easy for people to get help. In the event of an ER visit, the EMA care team will send a professional health advocate to assist in the ER with advocacy – so patients get the support they need in communicating with doctors, nurses, and family members. The EMA Care program is both affordable and accessible for all English-speaking older adults.
In addition to our geriatric telemedicine program, EMA Care we can provide assistance for older adults who need accompaniment them to medical appointments and hospital visits. Our interdisciplinary team can help make sure you have the care you need, when you need it.
EMA Care has a well-established 24/7 telemedicine/ER services program which has managed thousands of people to date. This service is ideal for tourists, gap year students, and English-speaking residents in Israel.

Thank you for the zoom (and all your updates). It was great. I wish the news was like that. Straight forward, factual, unemotional. Bravo to both of you ladies!!
My experience with Ema Care has been so positive that I wanted to share it in case it could help someone else. Eight days ago my daughter, a Shanah Bet student, called to say she wasn’t feeling well and had symptoms of Covid-19. I was put in touch with an Infectious Disease specialist who recommended Ema Care. I reached Dr. Eliana Aaron easily and signed my daughter up. The next morning, Ema Care gave my daughter a telehealth exam and provided her with prescriptions, as well as a list of...
I would like to also add my compliments, you exceeded my already very high expectations. You can certainly send other schools our way for a recommendation.

Hello Dr. Aaron. I cannot thank you enough for providing not only crucial information but a framework that gave us stability and allowed us to function (instead of descending into chaos, which undoubtedly would have happened, if not for you). At the risk of waxing dramatic, I will tell you that when I think of what you've done these past couple of months, what comes to mind is Rav Yohanan Ben Zakai asking Vespasian to give him Yavneh ve-Hakhameha, thus saving the entire enterprise of Talmud...
I just wanted to say I think Dr. Eliana is one of the most rationale people providing the public with current information. I have no idea how I came across your Facebook page but I love what you say, just heard the one about reopening shuls, and the way you present it. clear, concise and factual. I work in Toronto on COVID 19 and just wanted to let you know that you are doing a fantastic job. I think here there are community doctors putting out information and I have told them they are too...
