1.     I have read the research about the reliability of antibodies in a strategy for public protection in a pandemic- does EMA Care support the government’s policies?

EMA Care believes in providing the public with quality medical care and equal access to opportunities. We don’t create the policies- the Israel Ministry of Health (משרד הבריאות) does.  EMA Care gives the public the chance to utilize the newly developed Covid-19 policies to their benefit.

2.     Who can receive this test?

This test is available for everyone- Israelis, foreigners, tourists, students and people on a working visa.

3.     For how long after receiving a positive will I be exempt from quarantine?

There is currently no expiration date from exemption from quarantine.  We anticipate that this may change in the future.

4.     The Israeli governments policies are changing so rapidly- how do I know that antibodies will be sufficient for quarantine exemption for the next 6 months?

There is no guarantee that changes won’t be made to the governments regulations for quarantine exemption, however this is the most accurate information at this time.

5.     Does this test also provide an exemption from quarantine for International travel?

Unfortunately this test does not provide an exemption from quarantine for international travel as of now.  It exempts quarantine only for those who have been exposed to the Coronavirus within Israel. The policy regarding serology (antibody) testing and international travel is currently being developed and we hope that exemptions for international travel will be implemented soon.

6.     If I have had a positive COVID-19 result do I need antibody testing to get an exemption from quarantine?

If someone has had COVID-19 in Israel and has received an official test through the Ministry of Health, they should have a recovery letter- which will exempt them from the need to quarantine in the future. There is no need to take an antibody test in this case.

7.      If I receive a positive antibody result from abroad can I receive an exemption from quarantine in Israel?

Currently an antibody test result from abroad is not valid for quarantine exemption in Israel.

8.     There are many clinics offering antibody testing- why should I go to EMA Care?

Antibody testing has been available in Israel for some time now. The Diasorin and Abbott tests, the 2 most common antibody tests available in Israel are each ???????????? ???????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????????, ???????????? ???????????????????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????? ????????????????????. There are no labs in the country (that we have found) that have both tests, and therefore people would require 2 separate lab tests for validation.  Our phlebotomy team goes to the client and uses a MOH approved serology (antibody) test.

9.       Why is it so expensive to get antibody testing through EMA Care?

EMA Care doesn’t just provide healthcare service- we provide top quality healthcare services. Our phlebotomist is a specialist in his field, able to draw blood from even the most complicated patients. EMA Care provides on-site clinics so there is no need for you to be exposed to the possible risks of the Coronavirus unnecessarily and trouble yourself with travel. Additionally, EMA Care takes care of everything involved if you receive a positive test including registering it with the Ministry of Health.

10.        How long until I receive the results of my antibody test?

You will receive the results of your antibody test between 1-2 days.

11.        If I receive a positive on my antibody test- is there anything else I need to do?

No! Once you receive a positive test- EMA Care will take care of everything else as well- including registering your new status as a person exempted from future quarantining with the Ministry of Health.  The MOH is the only authority that can issue exemption from quarantine.

12.        How long until I am registered with the Ministry of Health after receiving a positive antibody test?

The estimated time is between 2-4 days for your new status to become official.  However, since this is a new process there may be MOH system glitches delaying the process, but we will follow up and do not believe these issues will take more than 2 weeks to resolve.
