Spring Cleaning tips

With Passover getting closer, many people have started doing their annual Pesach cleaning. The prospect of spring cleaning can be very stressful, especially during a global pandemic when kids are home all day. Some people are very organized about their schedules and plan a few weeks in advance in order to not be overburdened with work. Here are some tips to make this process less stressful.

Make a schedule

Making a schedule a few weeks in advance can be very helpful. First, start by making a list of all of the things that need to be cleaned. Finally, divide the chores over the week or two before Passover. Make sure not to overload on any one day and schedule a break in between each task. Chores like "cleaning all of the bathrooms" may be exhausting. Therefore, make sure that the rest of the duties that day are lighter chores.

Delegate the chores

Make sure not to overload yourself with chores. Make sure to delegate to the other members of the family. Even kids can do small cleaning jobs around the house like washing dishes and dusting.

Declutter

Decluttering makes everyone's life easier. It makes life more efficient, organized, and less stressful. Studies have shown that disorganized homes cause people to be more stressed.

  • It is also important to throw away things that you haven’t used in a long time. They take up space and collect dust over time. whatsapp option 3

Dust

Make sure to dust from top to bottom. Start with the top shelves in the cabinet and work your way down. If you suffer from dust mite allergies – try to vacuum instead of sweeping. Wipe down surfaces with a damp cloth and wear a mask.

  • If you are using heavy-duty cleaning supplies, then wear protective gloves to guard your skin from any damage from the supplies.

We hope that this year your Pesach/spring cleaning isn’t too stressful and that you can prepare for the holiday properly. Good luck!

Recommended by an Infectious Disease Specialist

My experience with Ema Care has been so positive that I wanted to share it in case it could help someone else. Eight days ago my daughter, a Shanah Bet student, called to say she wasn’t feeling well and had symptoms of Covid-19. I was put in touch with an Infectious Disease specialist who recommended Ema Care. I reached Dr. Eliana Aaron easily and signed my daughter up. The next morning, Ema Care gave my daughter a telehealth exam and provided her with prescriptions, as well as a list of
