How to properly wear a mask

The Dos and Don'ts of wearing masks:

Wearing masks has been a controversial topic over the last few months. While most of the leading physicians encourage people to wear masks at all times (while outdoors), many people find the mask uncomfortable and they accidentally make their masks useless against the Coronavirus. Here are some guidelines on wearing masks:

Wear your mask over your mouth and nose!

It is very common to see people wearing their masks over their mouths and not over their noses, especially while talking. When we speak to someone, we often breathe with both our mouth and our nose without noticing it. When we breathe particles come out of our nose and mouth. Some of these particles are respiratory droplets that may contain Coronavirus. Therefore, it is important to wear the mask over your mouth and nose!

Don’t touch the inside of your mask!

When people take off their masks, they often touch the inside of the mask and don't give it a second thought. However, when someone touches the inside of their masks, they make their masks useless against preventing the spread of the Coronavirus. So, when you take off your mask, make sure you don't touch the inside because it needs to remain sterile.

Sweating, makeup, and sneezing in a mask

Something that most people don’t know is that there is a layer inside a surgical mask that protects one against disease, However, it disintegrates with moisture. Coughing, sneezing, and wearing makeup can ruin the protective layer of the masks and make them useless against the Coronavirus.

Face shield

People think that face shields are adequate to wear without a mask underneath, this is false. These are used primarily to help those who are speech-impaired to read lips when someone is talking to them. It should not be used instead of a regular mask.

I was put in touch with an Infectious Disease specialist who recommended Ema Care. I reached Dr. Eliana Aaron easily and signed my daughter up. The next morning, Ema Care gave my daughter a telehealth exam and provided her with prescriptions, as well as a list of
